What FurQuote Keeps, and Who Sees It
Last updated October 26, 2026. This page is written from FurQuote's own database: if something is not listed here, FurQuote does not store it.
1. The Short Version
FurQuote stores what it needs to arrange a groom and pay for it, and nothing for advertising. Your card number never touches FurQuote; Stripe holds it. A groomer learns your name and phone only after accepting your booking, and your home address only if they come to you. There is no advertising tracking on this site.
2. Everyone With an Account
Your email address and password (the password is stored only as a one-way hash by Supabase, our database provider), your name, which kind of account you have, and when you signed up. Dog owners also give a phone number and a street address, city and ZIP the first time they request a groom; these are kept for the next request and shared only as section 4 describes.
3. Dog Owners
Your dogs: name, male or female, breed, weight, birth month and year, coat type, whether the coat is matted and whether the dog is anxious or reactive, and a photo if you add one. Groomers see a dog's profile and photo only while they can accept a request for that dog, or after they have booked it.
Your requests and bookings: the service, time, ZIP, price, the dog's details as they were when you posted, the groomer who accepted, the 4-digit hand-off PIN (visible only to you), each PIN attempt, and what happened afterwards: hand-off time, cancellations, refunds, no-show reports and their outcome.
Complaints: if you flag a groom, your description and photos, the groomer's offer, your answer and the settlement are kept with the booking. Photos go in private storage that only you, that groomer and FurQuote can open.
Reports about you: if a groomer reports a booking, their reason and FurQuote's decision are kept, along with any pause on your account.
Rescue Partners: if you signed up with a shelter or rescue's link or code, which rescue, when, and how (link or typed code). The rescue sees counts only, never your name.
4. What a Groomer Sees About a Dog Owner
Before accepting: the dog's profile, the service, the time, the ZIP and the price. Never your name, phone or address.
After accepting: your name and phone, so they can reach you about the appointment. A mobile groomer also gets the street address where the groom happens. A salon groomer never gets your home address. These details are copied onto the booking record, so they stay as they were on that day.
5. Groomers
Your application: business name, salon or mobile, years of experience and a description, languages, specialties, the ZIPs you serve, a salon's street address, photos of your work, and a photo of your driver's license. The license photo is kept after approval in private storage that only FurQuote's owner can open, to prevent duplicate accounts. Work photos, business details, languages and specialties are shown to dog owners once you are approved; a salon address is shown to a client only after you accept their booking.
Your prices: the price list you enter is shown to signed-in dog owners once you are approved.
Your record: the owner's decision on your application and its reason (owner-only), strikes with their reason, bookings, cancellations and no-show reports, and payout records: amount, date and Stripe's transfer reference.
Payouts: your bank and identity details go to Stripe on Stripe's own forms. FurQuote stores only your Stripe account reference and whether payouts are set up.
6. Rescue Partners
For a partner organization: its legal and public names, a public blurb and logo, a website, a contact name, email and phone (owner-only), notes (owner-only), the signed consent file in private storage, the login email of its dashboard, its pay-to instructions (owner-only), each $5 contribution with the booking it came from, and each cash-out recorded. The public page shows only the public name, blurb and logo.
7. Payments
Card details are entered into Stripe's own card form and go straight to Stripe. FurQuote never sees or stores a card number. FurQuote keeps Stripe's references for each hold, charge, refund and payout so it can show you what happened. FurQuote is the seller on your card statement.
8. Notifications
If you turn on notifications, FurQuote stores your browser's push address and keys, and the browser name, so it can send you a notification through Apple's or Google's push service. A notification carries only what you would see on your own page. Turn them off any time in your browser settings.
9. Cookies and Tracking
FurQuote sets only the cookies that keep you signed in. There are no advertising pixels, no analytics trackers and no third-party cookies on this site. If that changes, this page will say so first.
10. Who Processes the Data
Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Stripe (payments and groomer payouts), Vercel (hosting), and Apple's or Google's push service for notifications you turn on. Each sees only what it needs for its job. FurQuote does not sell or rent personal information.
11. Who at FurQuote Sees It
FurQuote's owner can see accounts, bookings, complaints, reports and payments in order to run the service and settle disputes. The owner cannot see a booking's PIN, a card number or a groomer's bank details. Every table is protected so that a signed-in person can read only what the rules above allow.
12. How Long, and Your Choices
Records of bookings, payments, complaints and strikes are kept while your account exists and for as long as tax and payment rules require afterwards. Email hello@furquote.app from the address on your account to get a copy of what FurQuote holds about you, to correct it, or to close your account; anything that must be kept for payment records is kept, and the rest is deleted.
13. Changes and Contact
FurQuote may update this policy and will note the date at the top. Questions: hello@furquote.app. See also the terms of service.
